1st-Anniversary Update
A year ago at this time, Hidden Deadly Productions, abetted by a great cast and crew, was nearing the end of principal photography for A Lower Power. So, what have we been up to?
Mainly finishing all the little details on the film, then looking hard at what we’ve got, and making it better. With feedback from conspirators and strangers alike, we’ve done a little rearranging and lots of re-cutting, and even added a few shots, and now we have a version that’s brisker, tighter, and stronger than what we showed to cast and crew last spring.
New edit in hand, we’re in the midst of a run at film festivals. Watch this space and keep your fingers crossed.
As we try to wrap up this film, we’re putting more effort and serious thought into the next project — which is likely to be the sci-fi action comedy that was going to be our next project before we changed gears and did A Lower Power first. Whereas ALP was a shoot-while-the-iron-is-hot affair, we’re likely approaching the next one with a slower, more deliberate buildup, devoting 2010 to planning, prep, and pre-promotion, with a goal of shooting in early ‘11.
